New Cosmonautics Federation of Russia Medal
I was doing some research on the web and came across this picture of what was identified as a Gagarin Medal awarded by the Cosmonautics Federation of Russia. This particular medal was awarded to an individual in Feb. 2007, and appears to be a new medal that is not covered by Space Exploration Awards: Catalog, Volume 1, which came out in 2002. I like it!:thumbsup

The document says: National Awarding Committee of Samara
Jubilee Medal of Yuriy Gagarin 70th B-Day Here's a silver variation of a 70th Anniversary Yuri Gagarin Medal from the Samara Awarding Committee. The silver version is supposed to be limited to 150 pieces. |

Cosmonautics Federation of the USSR Academician M.V. Keldysh Medal (First issue). Minted in 1986 by the Moscow Mint. Limited to 3,000 pieces.

Space Medal Set
Hi,
bought these set with two documents and one medal a few days ago on a flea market. The medal seems to be for 35 years of Space Center in Baikonur. But which Gagarin medal (missing) belongs to the second document (any pictures?) Does anybody know something about the value of these set / medals? regards and thanks Andreas |
