These caps are all winter versions. All these caps are part of Yugoslavian battle uniforms. The other one which you have and you think is winter one is also winter type of cap but for working uniform.Sumer caps are totally diferent in construction and material.

OK, thanks, but I am afraid that other cap isn't for work uniform - I have a matching uniform made of the same material, also from 70's and it looks like standard service uniform.
I'll post the pics tommorrow evening. |

OK, something went wrong and the pics will be one day later.
However here's a pic of a milic'nik's uniform made of the same material (and apart from the colour and buttons it is the same as the uniform that matches the cap I was talking about) with a close-up of the material. |

Look, service and battle uniforms for soldiers were made from material you showed before (caps) even in early 70s.Working uniforms or garnison uniforms were made from material like police jacket. Also both types of uniforms are winter ones.I had served the JNA in 80s and at that time it was so.But there is allways possibility that I am wrong.

About references for Yugoslavian uniforms you are right, there is almost nothing except official army book for internal use in SerboCroatian language, but almost no pics.
About your navy uniform I cant tell jou nothing because I see something like that first time in my life. I can only guess it could be something from early fifties or something put together. From early sixties and until present days ther were regulations and everything worked well. All uniforms of same types in all branches of armed forces. Before sixties there was a chaos,on a batalion level there you could not find two soldiers or officers dressed in same uniforms. From that periode is realy hard to tell what is what. Yugoslav Army Cap Badge.
Can anyone identify this? Also, seems that something hung from this since there are holes on each side of the piece.
