Looks like there's been a steady stream of these type 2 breast stars, mostly with their serial numbers scratched out, appearing on ebay, with prices well over $500.

These are constantly available with and without defaced serials. All three in the collection have the full serial number. I have seen serial numbers well into the 4 digits offered.

I'm not looking at adding any more to the collection (specially not with a defaced number).

One of the Orders in the collection only cost 2 digits and I would advise anyone looking to buy an Order not to pay more than 2 digits for any defaced serial example. These keep coming onto the market but are there that many collectors out there to keep prices up? Certainly not an "investment" item.

Now with the right ID:

I came across two award documents for this order in a North Korean video on Youtube.

No. 1731 was awarded to Kang Tae Mu and No. 1754 for Pyo Mu Won.
While the date is pretty hard to read it seems to be 27 September, 1995.
A South Korean database says Kang Tae Mu was awarded this order in October 1995. But the month in the document seems to be only one digit.
