There are also a list of caps from that seller now up for bid, two of which I would like to see more photos of before commenting on them...i think you can see which two they are.

Here is another on E, from a seller who does not sell Soviet exclusively, but once in awhile...again, compare to the known original example in first post and draw your own conclusions.

Actually, the more i look at it, looks like the Air Force General is wearing his M1940 parade cap with his M1943 uniform (no embroidery around the band)...could be wrong on it, might be some obscure regulation, or he might just have liked the M1940 cap better.
