Thanks. Lots of neat stuff to see - especially how some people chose to wear their medals on their civilian clothes (which I used to see every year around this time) and then retired military in uniform wearing their medals or ribbon bars more or less according to regulation. I saw lots of folks wearing the "PKR"? new communist party anniversary medals shaped like Red Banners, and other big orders.

I also notice a distinct lack of caps, formal/parade or service. I wonder if it's because they are too big for the owners now, they've been sold, or trying to avoid confusion with crossover Soviet-RF modifications. The ones that did wear both uniform and cap often wore them in a rakish fashion, cocked to one side as in one photo from somewhere of a (retired?) general standing behind Medvedev on the viewing stands.

Fabulous pictures - 66 Years already! Finding a suspension Nevski recipient can't be an easy task at all 68 years on. I was wearing the ribbon bow today but I'm afraid I was the only one and there are lots of Former Soviets around here. It's just a shame there are less and less around to celebrate each year but for those who are how glorious!
