Navy

I found this photo from a tunic i used to own; M1945 parade dress tunic for a Major General of Naval Medical Service...superb looking uniform. The boards are the narrow 'appointed' rank of Major General. dd

Medical Service Major General's Uniform

Here's the uniform that I was asking the question "Would a dagger be worn with the parade uniform?". I asked Patrick and he said it was a1970's era uniform. Any thoughts?

Not sure i understand the question as you are showing a service uniform (no dagger) but asking about a parade uniform (yes dagger)?

Medical Service Major General's Uniform

Doug,
I have both the Everyday and Parade uniform of a Medical Service Major General's Uniform. Would he have worn a dagger with the Parade uniform (1970's era)?

:thumbsup:thumbsup Doc

Are You sure?
I don't have my m74 reg. book at hand, but I think that only air force generals would wear a dagger at that period.

What does such a dagger look like?
