4 or more Red Stars to the same person?
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone out there has seen or heard of one person being awarded with 4 or more Red Stars. Just interested in knowing if this ever happened. Thanks, Bryan |

According to Muzalevsky andShishkov (Book 1 pp. 224-225) 2 people got 5 Red stars, and many got 4 red stars.

Offered on ebay:
"PRE WWII ORDER OF "RED STAR" What do you think? What about the letters next to "MONDVOR"? What about the s p a c e d S/N?

Tal,
Its hard to see everything from the scan. Generally speaking, the serial number looks fine. I have seen the same "font" style on other early Red Stars. The letters next to the MONDVOR are the initials of the mint worker who made the Order. You see this a lot on early pre-World War II awards. The front scan of the Order makes it look like the enamel might be replaced as it looks like a darker red then normal, but this might be from the quality of the scan as well. Nice Mondvor Red Stars are absolutly beautiful in the quality of their craftsmanship. Just my opinion, Ed |

Tal,
As much as I can tell from the scan, it is genuine. Notice how the screwpost was trimmed by the owner. Alexei |

Do those books have any photos of the stars being worn?

Order of the Red Star SN Range Question...
Does anyone know roughly where at OotRS with a sn of #10233XX would be? Would this be a late war award or just immediately post war?

Hmm. I was under the impression, I think I read it on this or one of the other major pages, that except for the late WW2 awards here and there (esp to WW2 POWs), WW2 OotRS' pretty much ended at some point in the 1st half or so of the one millions. Weird.
Do you think that your 6/11/44 awarded one (in the 2 mill + range) might be a reissue/re-SN? Hrm. ---Matthias |
