Combat
I need some info on MMM T1V3 that is serial #523927. I am selling this medal and recieved an e-mail saying that this piece cannot be a T1V3 as the highest known SN is 470214 so my piece is a T2V1 that was coverted. I don't have my research books right now as they are somewhere between Kansas and Korea and need to know if this medal is good. I bought this medal along with others in 2000 from a well known and respected member of this forum and believe without a doubt that he knows his stuff. Thank you for any help,
Bryan |

Hi Bryan according to both Avers 6 and the Mondvor site:
The Variant 4. It is similar to the previous variant, however a medal thin. Thickness of a medal approximately 2,2 mm. Weight of a medal - 25,6 g (with kolodkoj, but without a nut). Minimal known number - 234680, maximal - 470214. Upon further reading of both references it would appear possible your number is OK as there is some overlapping of the numbers between the pentagonal hangers and the type 1 hangers. Referring to number 553751 as the starting point for the type 2 and also noting a lowest known number for type 2 on pentagonal hanger as 347664. Ron |

Hi Ron,
Thank you for the info. I never had any doubt about this piece and whay's funny is that it seems my doubter is pulling his info from the same place as you. I would post a scan, but still have not mastered the skill of making it small enough for the site. If anyone would like a scan please pm me. Thanks, Bryan |

At the base of the suspension there is an engraving. Can anybody tell me what it is?
