Re: April Fool's Joke - New Sections Coming To The Forum.

Well, I haven't been around for a while, because, as a busy person, I don't always have time for hobbies - but when I do, I return to this...!?
The cynics here prefer to discuss the discussion of awards, not even that, rather than getting down to discussing awards.
What happened with the good old times? The comradeship of this forum?

I recall, when I wasn't even a member here, I recall the good spirit and co-operations between it's members, but now I only see conflicts and a bleak shadow of what that used to be a helluva good forum, where we thrived in experience around socialist awards.
Now, I just saw the old blokes, and they didn't take a cup of proper April Fools- humour. I mean, you just can't get annoyed by April-Fools jokes, you simply can't.

I miss the forum where we could laugh and have a good time while working together on projects and information on awards. Frankly, the atmosphere at the DMZ is better than here, right now...

The changes that have come to the forum over the last 2 years have been very good ones, specially for people like me who does not speak English as a first language. Before there were hundreds of strange threads says "what is this?", "look here!" and "I just bought a box of stuff". It is difficult to understand what to look at. Now everything is very streamlined and it is very easy to find the place to discuss what I wish to. Very good organisation!

I think it is an outright lie to say the forum "leaders" are not interested in awards and only want to make themselves look great. The "Researched Award Groups" is a good example of that, I believe. What is important is who was awarded and why, not who owns it this week, and who owns it the next.

Are some people annoyed that there are people doing things for free here that they want to charge for? The guide to podvignaroda is one of the most valuable resources there are (and the "leadership" don't care about research), and it was free!

Redmaestro2 have you not received lots of help on ukaz for USSR and Bulgarian awards? I have seen many questions asked and then a fast reply follow. Are people taking this FREE service for granted? Where else can you ask for a picture or scan of something and find it the next day or so?
Time for those who just want to talk negatively about the forum to shut up or shove off. It's free and is very detailed and good! In these days, everyone wants to get paid for everything, everything, and here we get what we wish for served on silverware, and still there is nagging about this and that, I know some of the members have paid to fuel the forum, but still... Here, we have a big, high quality storage of information, I am extremely grateful.

Medals73; if you have gone because "Dictator Desantik" doesn't want to play with you, where are all these likes coming from? It is his freedom to deal with who he wants, or do you not like freedom? I am sorry to see this, no one will ever be happy about everything, so let's all just face it, and accept it.I see so many awards and pieces of research I can see nowhere else - it is a brilliant place! I am sure I speak on behalf of the silent majority who use this forum again and again with no problems at all, and don't forget all the non-registered ones...

To finish it all off; I am a normal user, with a normal agenda. Not a compulsive liar who has been banned from the marketplace and who has failed to pay after starting a new account, then wants to start trouble (that some idiots like). I'm going to go look at some awards now, if I had any more I would post them. Would anyone like to join me?
