This one was just offered to me by a friend, in comparison with the marketplace photo, it looks good to me, but its always nice to have a second opinion. :D

Looks okay to me. Bigger pictures of the medal (and not from the white background) would not hurt.

Agreed, that's more like it. Compare your most recent example to the first example you posted. The differences should be more obvious. There are "ring variations" of more recent manufacture, I think, of this medal, which your first example is trying, albeit unsuccessfully, to be, but these are more scarce.

I know little about these so the only thing I can do is to show mine for comparison. The only problem is that I'm not sure mine is real :rolleyes:

Btw, it looks like your medal is cast.

Well, much better than the one I have shown, with a lot more details and crispness. Still, no trace of the gold wash I would expect on such medals. I have no explanation. Normally you can still see some remaining of the gilding in "protected" areas. Here, I can't see any.

your medal looks like a badly cast copy. Not even close to the original.
