I only know one place. You have to go on 17th Juni Strasse and stop at Tiergarten S-Bahn station. It is at the sunday fleemarket. If you need precise information how to get there just PM me.
I also have the personnal address from a DDR dealer and he also does have Soviet medals. The only problem is that he no nothing in Soviet awards and sold me 2 fakes. But he did offer me other awards in exchange. You can go at his home and look the stuff yourself.

Oh, by the way there is a shop in Berlin-Schöneberg called :
Thrift Shop Kolonnenstr. 46 10829 Berlin Opening hours: tue+ fri 10-18, wed + thu 16 to 19, or on demand. Ask for Nico. This shop is full of artifacts from all 4 occupying powers of Berlin as well from the former DDR. If you need the e-mail from the guy, I can try to find it.

Simon,
There are no such dealers in Chicago. Sorry, Rusty. P.S. Do you live in ChiTown?

Simon,
Rusty is correct. I have friends in Chicago and make it down there on a regular basis (for collectors shows and recreation) and have never found a mainly Soviet dealer in the area. Some dealers will have some Soviet items but it has been my experience that those dealers are not Soviet specialists. Thanks Clete

Thank you for your responses, Rusty and Clete. I live in St. Louis and will be visiting my friend in Chicago this summer. I was hoping Chicago had a dealer with at least a small assortment of Soviet combat awards. He doesn't have to have much. If he has a few common variations of GPW, glory, red star, red banner, it is good enough. I would really like to get a chance to see some orders and medals live and maybe make a small purchase such as OGPW 1985 issue. The biggest St. Louis dealer currently has not a single Soviet medal in store though he had a set of orders of glory 3 and 2 class awarded to the same individual for $150 about a year ago. I regret that I passed on it being worried that it might be a fake.

Go on the Fleemarket on Sunday, but don't expect to get resonable prices. I suggest the Ostbahnhof fleemarket and the 17. Juni Straße fleemarket.
If you like to visit a shop, go to the Thrift Shop on Kolonnenstr. 46 in Schöneberg Tu+Fr 10-18 H We+Th 16 - 19 H Phone (30) 567 300 35
