Re: Cap Badges

Thanks for straightening that out Richie. I liked the look of that cap star.

Now, on to this generic cap star, 30mm. What era, 1950s? Did I overpay at $10 (including postage)?
TIA

Hello Eric!

Are you certain it measures 30MM?

Such a nice example!
Are Soviet militia caps of that era still available?

That is a nice star too.

They came in both one and two piece variations at slightly different times...

Re: Cap Badges

I have to say that the one on the right is more...normal looking.
For some reason the left star looks like the crest was really squeezed into the center of the star. :o

Re: Cap Badges

I would say 32MM Eric... :p

These were intended for use on Naval sailor's Бескозырка - Beskozerka - "Bezka" from 1943 onwards. I have come across a few different variations.

IMO, yours is a 1940s/early 50s example and in a condition that is superb.

I'll gladly take an example of one is you have another... Ten bucks was a fine deal. :wink

Just re-noticed this and saved it to my "soviet badges disc (Avers, Airapetyan,Urals...)". Did we ever make anything else?
How about other common stuff, like breast badges (otlichnik,wings...),paper(VBs, OKs, YkMs, citations...?
