Re: ISBN of Avers No. 6 (аверс)
There is, apparently, no ISBN. A "Russian Thing"?
While I found a "No. 2" for sale ($300), no "No. 6" located. I know that some think it is just another evil book, but I find I useful, even with limited Russian. |

Re: ISBN of Avers No. 6 (аверс)
Impressive !! $300... :yow
And, any price noted for the AVERS (No. 1) (1993), if available ? You know, the one that quoted HSU at $450, Order Mother Heroine at $25, Nakhimov 1st Class at $ 2500, Order of Glory 1st Class at $ 400.... :thumbsup and :( |

Re: ISBN of Avers No. 6 (аверс)
I got A2 for less than $10 on ebay, but that was just luck. I have A8 as an e-book and love it. I use it almost every day.
Just wish I had the scratch for the real thing. Maybe this week is the week I hit the lotto! ;)

Re: ISBN of Avers No. 6 (аверс)
Well, there were the days long before that (1970s and 1980s) when, at OMSA, you might see no more than a single Lenin and a single Red Star (in the whole bourse), with serial numbers inexpertly scraped off, at $9000 and $1050 (I actually noted down the prices in 1976). These were the prices if you beat the obvious KGB boys (either that or FBI) to them. They'd sweep, check for serial numbers, and buy most things is there was any hope of recovering the number.
Now (2009) you see this sort of thing . . . |

Re: ISBN of Avers No. 6 (аверс)
All Avers are available for free online in PDF or DJVu format. I just don't have the exact URL handy at moment.
Just found it again... it was on mirnagrad.ru website: http://www.mirnagrad.ru/cgi-bin/exinform.cgi?basket= |

Avers 6
Hey all:)
I've recently was reading the Avers 6 catalog However prices there seems to be very low comparing to Ebay - for instance Does prices have changed so drastically since 2003 - or there is another market where these prices "rule"? I'm quite new to Soviet medals & badges collection... Thanks, Thor K. Last edited by Thor Kruuse; 05-17-2014 at 04:09 AM. |

Re: Avers 6
Prices have sky-rocketed in the last 10 years and it doesn't look to be stopping.
If you're using 2003 prices as a guide you'll find it very rough obtaining anything. If you want to sell anything for those sort of prices I'll be happy to take everything off your hands! The internet, changing laws and other factors have brought extremely vast changes to collecting Soviet awards and that's without mentioning fakes.
