Sorry, but in my opinion the design is ugly. The awards really seem to be 'cut out', there's too much contrast and the awards are to light, like they have been in the sun too much. Also Lenin seems to be cut out with a pair of scissors or something. Do you have Photoshop?

Its probably the forum's picture system. Reducing an image of such contrast to 50KB drastically reduces the quality, Whereas a photo would not be as affected.

I think the awards were intentionally done in only red and grey. I the spirit of socialism, Lenin himself would have probably preferred a photo of himself to be cut out, rather than be cropped by a capitalist computer program. Then again thats just Lenin speaking...

Auke,
You are sooooooo wrong. It's an excellent design!!! Because of the 50kb size limit it is affecting the appearance. Eric, Don't sweat it! You are right on target.

It is a nice design indeed. Keep up the good work, Eric.

Yeah, you're right. I did *not* get good images of the awards to begin with. I took the 4 orders that I have and snapped them quick in the full (Florida) sun and because of that they didn't come out too well. Someday, when I get time and a cloudy day I'll try for better images. Plus, I didn't want to swipe anybody else's images to use on my own project.
As for the Lenin image there ain't too many high resolution images of him anywhere to begin with. Certainly none that I could find when I googled him. In any event I like the rougher, old school look to the image I used. Besides, it was my intial preference to use B&W images of the orders as I thought too much color on a small medium like a bumper stick was too "busy". But consensus here was against that idea.
As for the "Soviet Red" and "yellow" again, I felt that too much but the masses prefer it so who am I to argue with the collective?
I look forward to your submition.

Eric,
I have scans of Genuine ORB, ORS and OPW. I also have a scan of a Nevsky Copy. Let me know if you want to use them I'll send you the scans, NO strings attached.

A new image of an old ORB.
I may just put this on a oval sticker and ride around with it like that

Or how 'bout this as a verticle rectangular sticker?
I can do the same (with the "collect" in Cyrillic) for my images of the ORB, OPW1 and ORS.

Eric,
If you're going with just a single Order on a sticker I like the Cyrillic "Collect" design.

I could do the same with any decent image of any ODM. I'd do the Polar Star but I don't want any more people getting hooked on Mongolia until I can afford all that I want.
Ideally I'd like to make these available via the forum merchandise section. In a perfect world we'd all be riding around with our collection on our bumpers.
