Re: Translation Help
Елизаров could also be an option...
The last one is definitely Гришин (Петр Григорьевич Гришин?). And there's a chance that the second one is Федорчук (for Виталий Васильевич Федорчук). Would make sense given the time frame. |

Not seeing Elizarov or Fedorchuk though. To start with, both of the signatures have an "й". I don't see other letters lining up in the right place either (the D in Fedorchuk, for instance). They sure didn't make this easy  Cheers, Alex |

Re: Translation Help
If this was supposed to be easy I think I'm having problems!

Re: Translation Help
If there's one thing I've learned it's not to try and explain every single pen movement. Just compare those two signatures from the same guy, they are quite different from one another. With a little creativity every single letter of "Федорчук" is there, but in the end it's just a guess.

Re: Translation Help
Frankly guys, trying to decipher signatures without a known database of other example signatures (I can spot Beria's a mile away, but not many others) is like trying to piece together a 1000 piece puzzle of a polar bear in a white-out blizzard.:) If you saw my signature, you would be hard pressed to decide what language it was in - much less the actual letters.
At the same time kudos to all of you with the ability and patience to go for it. Phillip

Phillip, do you have a list of MGB/KGB generals? Looking through that would help a lot. :) Alex |

Re: Translation Help
Not an expert, but to me it looks like Абидова, Фукия (Abidova, Fukiya).
If this is not correct, the second word, her first name, could be Фухия (Fuxiya) |
