Misrepresenting on eBay:

"RUSSIAN BADGE MEDAL SMERSH IMPERIAL RUSSIA . RUSSIAN BADGE. For Irreproachable Service in the Police (SMERSH). Silver badge. Shows age, but no damage. Front has image of Czar Nikoli. Measures approx 3 1/2" top to bottom. Obtained directly from an old family in Russia."

SMERSH units did not exist in pre-1917 Imperial Russia, they were created during WW II (1941-1945).

BTW, SMERSH stands for "Death to Spies" and was part of KGB.

Military Merit medal with wrong ribbon and Bulgarian box.

Here's seller's description:

"This Russian Medal complete with its box, is in excellent condition. The medal was given after World War 2

Soviet Order of the 9th of May. May 9 - day of the victory in the Great Patriotic war when Germany capitulated. Inside there is a small Order of th Patriotic War. Very nice enamel.
