Re: Translation Help
Finally, a group to an Ivanenko, I think, a 40th Anniversary of Victory, and a 70th Anniversary document. Thank you for all your help!

Bill,
The first guy you have listed on this list, Chabukiani, Luarsam Ehifanovich I think I have a set of 5 docs from NKVD/MGB organizations for the same guy. Is that the only doc you have for him? I have a: 1. VOG - dated 1946 from an NKVD type organization (border guards?) 2. 50 Year Police with what looks like Eduard Shevardnadze signature 3. CSM Congratulatory Certificate for long service in MGB signed by Gen-Lt of MGB 4. 40 Yr VOG with Georgian Ministry of internal affairs Gen-Lt signature 5. ID to allow free travel for WW2 vet for 1979-1980 Any possibility of a trade for that doc to put it back in this group? If you want, I can send you a PM. Re: Translation Help
As I know what the source for this person's group is I also checked my list of recipients to see if I had any items and you are in luck? as I do not.
I have a 500+ list of names of Soviet awards that I always check whenever new items come up to make sure any groups that can be kept together are. There has been lots of success, lots of close calls and some rather bad failures before and after the items hit the "western market" (usually items get cherry picked before "heading west"). If anyone has any interest in the list of names to see if you have any that match I will be happy to provide it. I am currently working on a list of missing awards by number too which is also double digit but will be more likely triple by the time I am finished. I have confidence that the responsible members of this forum will all work together in a positive way. Good luck!

A few more arrived yesterday. Here are a 30th (combatant) & 40th (labor) Anniversary of Victory, the latter to a woman, Anna, and a 60th Anniversary of the Armed Forces. Thank you. . .

Re: Translation Help
I recognize the first name, Ivan, but need some help with the rest; a 20th Anniversary of Victory, and a 50th Anniversary of the Soviet Armed Forces, please. . . My learning curve resembles a straight line.
