M1955 Medical Colonel
Here is a terrific M1955 medical services Colonel that is transiting from an advanced US collection (with some of his friends) to another collection.
This Colonel has a feature I have never seen before....internal pockets with metal zippers! DougD |

Re: Medical Uniforms and Insignia
Thanks Esteban, glad you like it.
Tretov, I agree, I think that it was for medical supplies; the lining is very strong as well, and seems to be made of a waterproof (bloodproof!) material! DougD |

Hi Guys:
I am presenting my latest acquisition. It is, except best judgement of the experts on this forum, a hat ceremony 1955/69 period general medical / veterinary branch, with a beautiful silver embroidered on the visor and tape. The embroidery is a little rusty. How can clean? Greetings and good luck to all The Cockade is two totally gold pieces with the red star as an independent. I am not an expert in hats, but as for me this hat is 100% fake. 1. The hat badge (cocarde) is not General's 2. It looks like it was made yesterday, but not 40-50 years ago I hope I am wrong. |

re: Medical Generals Parade Visor Cap
Nefert,
I think the cap is OK, I would not worry if it were mine...the cap badge is the regular generals postwar cap badge, the embroidery looks ok, etc. Its in god condition, but does show some tarnishing and that is natural. I really see nothing to say its a copy / fake / repro. whats the 2 digit date below MOCKBA? It looks to be there, but I can't make it out. DougD |

re: Medical Generals Parade Visor Cap
:)I agree with Doug on this one as well. The only thing I find interesting is all of the smaller stampings inside. Most if not all of the Soviet General officer visors I have seen rarely show stamps like this one does.
