Shouldn´t the golden bullion lapel leaves of the parade uniform be bigger?

I have to be honest...that does not look like the real Brezhnev to me; also, the uniforms do not seem to be right; the parade uniform seems a bit off; are you sure its not a 'make up' with a re-construction of the Brezhnev years? I really do not think its him.

Not that I've met either in person

But brezhnev sure looks like Lon Chaney Sr.

Guys,

Anyone if free to believe what they want. I know where that shot comes from, and that it is him, that's all.

Esteban,

Post-1970 uniforms had smaller embroideries than the M58 ones.

Brezhnevs stunt double

Nope, I do not think its him...the full parade uniform is also wrong; the collar insignia on the full parade uniform was NOT the same (even after 1970) as the grey holiday and green service uniforms; the parade collar embroidery is larger and a different style. whoever made the uniforms for this (what i am calling a reconstruction) simply copied the collar embroidery from the grey uniform he is pictured in to the full parade one. also, i would bet that the medal / order count is not accurate, but i'll leave that to an order-medal guy to point out.

i think this was from a docu-drama about Brezhnev, not actually him (i am not sure how you can say its 100% him unless you were at the filming); the film might say its him, but i do not think that its accurate.

uniform

Also, look at the number of awards he has on his ribbons...why only 2 orders on the right breast of the 'parade' uniform, if its really him? Where are all the other awards???

also, the grey holiday tunic does not match with any he is shown wearing; he seems to always wear the Order of Victory, and does not seem to wear the 5 stars...yes, he could have had it done later, but by the time it was done he was in a standing coma; i doubt he would have been looking so good as in this film still!

It just does not add up to being the real Brezhnev showing his real uniforms and awards.

I am not sure 100%. As I remember, this is from the movie Brezhnev. This is Sergei Shakurov, playing Leonid Ilich.
Also, I agree with Doug about uniforms. They don't look good.

Those hairy catapillars above his eyes don't seem as big as usual. Did he have them waxed before "being shot"?
