On ebay lately there has been several Suvorov 3 cl Type 1 for sale.
Don't you all think that is a little unusal for such a rare peice?

[QUOTE=new world]Second seller - if the group would be original, just the Suvorov 3 cl Type 1 would cost around $10,000 and the entire collection would be over $20,000.

I agree.

Furthermore, this particular seller already auctioned another Suvorov T1 - just 4 weeks ago.

At first, it looks like last 2 entries are for the long service. But if we look closely number 4 in first three entries is different from the one in the date. It looks like original serial numbers were bleached. My guess.

Doubleeagle,

Welcome to the forum.

The second entry is indeed unusual, because they did not use the proper ink stamp for Nevsky, but this alone does not make it a fake. Ink looks old, and the hand ritting is very neet, not like we often see on fake documents.

If the seller is credible and offers a money back guarantee I would probably go for it, and have is researched throught the Russian MoD archive. Just talk to the seller about it and explain your concerns to him.

Alexei

Mark,

In your first booklet I believe the first three entries may be original to the booklet - the hand writting does not have to be the same as in the date; apparently those entries were sometimes made by different people.

Alexei

Marc,

Your second booklet looks OK to me.

Alexei

Thank you for the explanation,Alexei.
My friend in Moscow will help me researching the archive. But he is not familiar with it. Can you tell me how to research the archive?
I am a chinese, and the seller is chinese too. Most of the sellers in our country are not professional, so they could't assure the order is unfaked, but on the other hand, they also have no competence to fake something :D

BTW: Sorry for my poor english, but i'm learning. Especially in this forum, i have learned a lot.

Doubleeagle,

Research means sending a request for information about an award to the Russian MoD archive in Podolsk (city near Moscow). Unfortunately it takes time and money to get the results, but on the bright side you will get a wealth of information about the recipient, that will prove/disprove the fact that it indeed belonged to the person named in the document.
