Help identify badges

need the name of those badges and how much each of them cost

Hi IngSoc,

The badge on the left is the Socialist Labour Collective badge (Kollektiv der Sozialistischen Arbeit). The one on the right is the Socialist Labour Activist badge (Aktivist der Sozialistischen Arbeit).

HOWEVER, the suspensions do not belong to these badges. The suspension on the left badge actually belongs to the badge on the right, and the suspension on the right badge is from the "Deserving Highschool Teacher" badge (Verdienter Hochschullehrer der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik).

I'm sure you could move the suspension from the left one to the right one. The value of these is not much, a few dollars. I bought the one on the left, including its white plastic presentation box, for I think it was $5 on eBay last year.

Isn't the second one "For socialist way of life/work?" ("Auf sozialostische Art zu leben" or "auf (...) arbeiten")?

Hi Al-Muell,

That is from the inscription on the back (Auf Sozialistische Art zu Leben Erfordert, auf Sozialistische Art zu Arbeiten). But the name of the award itself is Socialist Labour Activist (according to the book "Orden und Medaillen: Staatliche Auszeichnungen der DDR" by Guenter Tautz).
