Badge "Petstotnik".
Here is the Ministry Of Transport Badge "Petstotnik". Awarded to Railway workers for 500 freight train journeys. Dating from the mid 1950's.
The word "Petstotnik" has its routes in the Bulgarian uprisings of 1876 where a Petstotnik commanded 500 rebels.

This one was awarded to Pavel D. Georgiev, A Brakeman at Poduene-Distribution Station in central Sofia for work between 1st October and 31st December 1955. It is likely that most of these awards will have been awarded to workers of this central Sofia railway distribution depot.

Georgiev may well be photographed. There are two brakemen in action in the first photograph doing what he would be doing when he would be doing it.
