Here is Hero Of The Soviet Union (№3676) Major-General Boris Kuz'mich Koshechkin, a Tankist veteran of the battle of Kursk. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross. Born 28th December 1921 and still kicking (although he no longer wears the Cross).

Isn't he wearing a ribbon for it? It seems he wears only his post-service awards and ribbons for the earlier awards.
