Repatriation Of Kazimierz Kalinowski, Polish Resettlement Corps.

Here is a pair of documents issued to Private Kazimierz Kalinowski in 1946 documentation of his repatriation from the Polish Resettlement Corps in Great Britain over to the Ministry Of The Administration State Office Of Repatriation in Gdańsk for resettlement in his home town of Bydgoszcz.

The British issued document gives him an allowance of 3 shillings plus 8 pence for kit for 10 days ending 7th May 1946. It also allows him accommodation and rations until 27th April 1946.

The Polish issued document gives his date of birth as 8th October 1918 and shows his arrival in Gdańsk on 8th May 1946 (The day after British allowances ended and the first anniversary of victory). It also shows he was assigned a "German Peoples" Category by the occupying Germans which may be an indication of conscription into the Wehrmacht (It wouldn't be surprising as 89,300 of the Polish Army In The West were).
