Imperial Plaque

I am trying to identify this, as it was a part of a box of things that was dropped off at our Base museum. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Identification help needed

Simon! Thank you very much. This brass plate was among some personal belongings that were brought into the Base museum for a donation. The deceased gentleman, according to relatives, was a Canadian Navy Vet. Among the items were his WW2 medals particularly the Atlantic Star, so this may mean that he may have acquired this on a port visit.

Thank you again!

I think, the plate is from the WWI artillery cannon.

Re: Imperial Plaque

My guess too. Schneider was a french artillery manufacturer.
