Fatherland Liberation War 1950-1953 Commemorative Medal.
The Fatherland Liberation War Commemorative Medal 1950-1953 (조국해방전쟁참전기념메달 1950-1953) was founded 18 days after the signing of armistice at Panmunjom (27th July 1953) on 15th August 1953. The Medal's design features a DPRK Soldier holding the national flag and a PPSH-41 Type 49 and is constructed from copper-nickel.

Here is another example of the Second Variation. The text on the rear looks to be broader but this may just be down to wear.
