Re: Translation Help

This is one of those situations where the "fake alert" subforum should have been consulted before parting with any cash.

(Anyway, as yet I was asked twice via PM the name of the seller, I have no problem to put here the auction # : 121041354091)
I usually think I'm one of the optimists around here

The two orders in this group might be ok. The medals are most likely fakes. ...Even if any one part were authentic, the price is way too high. If I were you, I would get my money back straight away! And follow CtahhR's advice next time.

Re: Translation Help

joelabrendola,

The seller is definitely an old acquaintance of some members

A quick look at the sale shows that the ORB is (surprisingly!) original, the Belgrade medal isn't, and I have a funny feeling about the SN engraving on the ORS.

As was mentioned earlier, the price is way too high.

"an old acquaintance of some members" :wow ... :angerr !

Anyway, thanks all, guys, for yr assistance.
Happy at least for the Lapa's comment about the genuine ORB, then we'll check better the s/n on the ORS when the orders will be landed here of course, but the very bad hit is the Belgrade fake....
Damn! it was appearing so good to me in the pics: Lapa, no chance at all ?
Otherwise, I know to win the races you need to be a good driver and here (I mean the soviet faleristika field) I'm pretty the last one
But as I usually say, life goes on (of course in the meantime I have started to buy in the marketplace here !:))
Thanks again. M.

Re: Translation Help

I am again soliciting the expertise of my collector colleagues to please translate this 40th Anniversary of the Soviet Armed Forces medal document, i.e. rank, name (Sergei?), date conferred, by whom issued, and who signed it; thank you!
