Under heavy enemy fire comrade Yeryomenko worked for three days and nights straight without leaving his pontoon. On October 24, 1943 ammunition needed to be delivered to the right shore of the Dnieper River. Even though it was already dawn, comrade Yeryomenko on his own initiative volunteered to go. Despite his visibility and the enemy fire he delivered the ammunition and handed it to the infantrymen on the right shore. He is a bold and decisive guards pontoneer, displaying maximum bravery and initiative. He handles the tasks assigned to him in a heroic manner. A brave guards pontoneer, he deserves the Order of the Red Star.
