Re: Paratrooper badge POLAND WWII?
I am not an expert at polish badges, but what I can say:
1.Screwplate suggests very late post-WW2 production; 2.This badge is not the same as the current model of paratrooper badge; 3.This writting "Tobie Ojczyzno" (For You, Fatherland) suggests badge for WW2 Polish paratroopers in Great Britain; 4.I lack knowledge to determine, wether this badge looks the same as used by polish paras in GB, but from what I know they are next to impossible to obtain and cost a fortune. My judgement: Replica made after WW2, probably in the 90's, most likely for reenactors or for collectors market, but the plate suggests it was not meant to be sold as an original piece. Hope it helps! |
