My Order book for the Order of republic has nr 1512 and was iisued May 4th 1986 I have Cyril & Methodius 1 st class nr 1236 20th April 1987 -"- 2 nd class nr 445 , 21 May 1966 -"- 1 st class nr 443 21 Jan 1966 Hi all from Sweden Christer |

As I go through my medal notebooks I find medals that I haven't posted. So here's one...
People's Republic of Bulgaria Order of the People's Republic of Bulgaria 1st-3rd Class (The third Class is identical to the 2nd Class but smaller) This is the fourth highest Order after "Hero" Titles :thumbsup:thumbsup Doc |

Here´s mine, I received yesterday after THREE months waiting. It got lost during its way here, but luckily the seller was responsible enough to urge the postal service to find it and delivering it to me.
I hope the document is original, I have no experience in documents. I´m quite surprised by the high quality of the case and document, if they´re really from the date written in it. I thought that Bulgaria also lowered the quality of its awards and its accesories during the last years of communism. Last pictures. I really like this award; it´s design is simple but elegant. I noticed the suspension is rather thick.

My concern now is the authenticity of the document, for as I said before this is my first documented award and I have never seen an award document, soviet or bulgarian or other.

Although instituted in 5 Classes, 4th and 5th Classes never existed and none of these Orders were ever serial numbered.

The "Medallion" areas of both the 1st and 2nd Classes are the same. The 3rd may look the same as the 2nd but it is smaller.
