yeah, the germany one is the one i was really worried about. in real life it is perfectly silver, there is NO remnants of the brass color at all.
but the medal for japan looks alright? if dso, what can i do? the suspension is terrible, can i find replacement ribbons and suspensions for this medal? these are a weird set aren't they?

You can get a real victory over Germany for $6, so don't feel too bad. I'll pm you some thoughts on where to go.

Fake Victory Over Germany
This is a classic fake. It is plastic. It looks nice, but weighs almost nothing. It was a gift from Tbilisi.

very strange VoG
Hi gentlemen,
I just got this victory over Germany medal as a "gift" adding a small amount of money to a paratrooper helmet I bought yesterday. After taking a good look, I noticed that the link did not belong to the medal, and Stalin´s bust was lacking in detail (almost no eyes nor HSU suspension, no line between mustache and cheek). Also, the border at the bottom of reverse is gone or maybe not even made. I hope this is due to the wear and/or polishing... However, since a picture tells more than a thousand words, here you go. Esteban

Esteban,
It's a genuine medal, moderately worn and polished. Alexei |
