Do you accumulate?

Do you accumilate some awards because you just like 'em?

I have a few Red Stars and OG3's...

I'm thinking of stopping once I hit 100 RedStars!
...then again, I don't want to stop!

I think it's one of the best...

I know one guy in Moscow who accumulated couple hundred of Red Stars. He just buys them for few dollars from alcoholics looking to get drunk.

It's sad when you think about this - all those soldiers commited some heroic deeds during the war and now the price of their awards is just one bottle of vodka.

At last count it was somewhere in the neighborhood of 200-something. I was just about at the 300 mark, and finally gave up trying to buy them all. I still have the majority of them, though I've parted off a few to pay for other additions to the collection. What I always get a kick out of are the folks that find a 'rare' variation of Glories (like the 'thin' style a while back). I normally have a couple dozen of them (with the exception of the Type 1's of course!)

I have also accumulated about 2500 personnel file photos. I started scanning them in one day, and after two days, and only 200 done, I realized I hadn't even touched the tip of the iceberg! Maybe someday...

--Dave

Here's a pic of one of several boxes of Glories (yeah, I probably could store them better....)

And the photos (each binder has approx 700 photos in it)...

Dave,

Do you want to sell a dozen or two of Glories?
