Re: Lowest Serial Number You Have

Order of Alexander Nevsky....serial number 23707. This particular variation has narrow bands at the handles of the battleaxes and this piece is one of the lowest known serial numbers for this variation. Part of a large documented, researched, translated and authenticated group.

Ivan Zinovyev.....HSU, top scoring Sturmovik pilot (strafing ace) in WWII for all allied forces. OGPWI #10091. Also awarded OoL, ORB (twice), Bravery Medal, Combat Service Medal,
VoG, CoB, LoP, 30th Anniv..and of course the Gold Star.
He had 87 ground kills, 9 additional in the air to make him an Ace. No one from any other country equaled his feat.

Re: Lowest Serial Number You Have

Lots of things change in 10 years... the forum included. Researched Soviet awards are now listed by serial number, so highs, lows, ranges can all be seen easily.

Researched Orders
Researched Red Banners
Researched Patriotic Wars
Researched Red Stars
Researched Glorys
Researched Medals
Researched Medals "For Bravery"
Researched Medals "For Combat Merits"

(And if you want to view them by order of last post simple click "last post".)

Personally I've obtained thousands of awards of the last decade..... including four posted on the forum that are #1, #1, #001 and #00001. There are also a few other single digit items, some consecutive serial runs and even a case of the same Order having two examples with the same serial number.
At the end of the day, they're all unique (apart for those two with the same number!) and it is the research that makes them rather than where they are in a numerical sequence.

Having #1 may be exciting but it's far more exciting to know who was awarded #1. (Fortunately I've been able to research two of the "firsts" I've posted)
