Order "Red Banner Of Labour".
Here is an Armenian award that was recently up for auction.
Looks like an early version of the Red Banner of Labor. Anyone else have any knowledge of this award? |

This type (and others) of Republican awards have been shown at times in other threads. The one you show is a recent production. I believe that its brothers (and sisters ) have already been featured: fake patina, bad enamel, details are off, etc. Great suggestion to have a separate Armenia thread. By the way, shouldn't we have a separate thread for each of the former republics of the Union? Marc |

A Photoshopped image of the item in post #1 to make it easier to see details.
Those early Republic badges are beautiful! I wish I could afford one of each.

Sorry for the bad picture because of the resizing. Here are 2 original 1921-1922 Red Bannera of the Armenian Republik from the Museum of the Soviet Armed Forces.

What does it say?
Can anyone decipher the words on the banner of the Armenian award?
Thanks, Dave |

Which Armenian order (Order of red Banner, Order of Red Banner of Labour ?) are you talking about ? All types of both orders say "Workers of the World, Unite" (not original). The 1st type of the ORBL has in plus a small red flag with the abbreviated name of the Armenian SSR. Hope this helps. Ch. |
