Comrade Dushenko, Petr Ivanovich is a specialist with the Head Repair-Restorative Train #21 since its creation during the first days of the Great Patriotic War. For all the time of his work for the restoration of the North Railway, for constructing the Tihvin-Budogosch' railway, narrow gauge Finev Lug - Mjasnoj Bor railway, Shevalev Train. In constructing railways #571 and #75a showed himself to be only on the positive side, as a staunch, demanding and fearless commander. His troop in any conditions with any hardships and shelling and parties of enemy aviation, systematically performed the tasks of the command at 140-150%.

Especially Comrade Dushenko showed himself staunch, brave and fearless when his troop was surrounded by the enemy (Finev Lug) there he had great difficulty (Malnutrition, systematic bombing and artillery fire) the tasks of the command were performed on time. Comrade Dushenko by his work managed to achieve good discipline and mastered work of construction. Comrade Dushenko worked on the construction of Railway #400 to Leningrad showing exceptional form in work. He systematically achieved whilst performing the tasks of command 140-150% under difficult work conditions and enemy fire.
Generally Comrade Dushenko can be characterised only on the positive side, as a good willing commander.

The railway from Tihvin to Budogosch' was around 80km. The Finev Lug - Mjasnoj Bor railway was around 30km.

GOREM-21 was one of the three GOREMs that built the railways of the "road of life". Dushenko's crawlers were at the very front of the relief of the siege of Leningrad. Very serious conditions (how many times does malnutrition get mentioned on a citation?) in extreme weather and even whilst surrounded. A Medal "For Bravery" seems a very low award for such feats.
