Badge "Military Academy Of The Republic Of Belarus".

I have never encountered this one before. It came in a batch with several other badges.

From the initials I am assuming it is from the "Military Academy of the Republic of Belorussia." That puts it as post-1991. However, the national emblem didn't change much (sans hammer & sickle with a cut out of the country is all I can see) after the break-up of the USSR. They even kept the pretty red star.

Nice looking badge nonetheless, in my opinion at least.;)

I've got one of those! Nice quality badge and one of several variants. The coat of arms is actually one the Belarusians reintroduced by referendum following a radically different design introduced in 1991. In Belarus the Red Star is still the emblem of the forces and even sometimes a hammer and sickle makes it onto a badge or medal or two!

I agree that this one is an extremely well made badge and since you mention other variations, I was hoping you had access to them or simply photos that you could post.

Hi Phillip, I'm currently all boxed up for a house move that may yet never happen but I'll be able to get you some photos in the new year. If you look in the Belarusian guards badge thread I posted a picture of most of my Belarusian stuff and you can see the graduation badges at the centre top.
