Could someone pls tell me the era of this mapcase? The compass looks pre GPW?

That is an interesting case you got there, especially with the toys still in it; it is also an uncommon pattern, maybe more specifically for artillerists. I believe that it was made in occupied Germany (leather, hardware, workmanship) in the first few years after the end of the war. Have a good look inside, there should most likely be some stamps, either in ink or dry ones. Marc |
