Bravery medal

This one came today. It is a nice T1V3 medal that could be from mid 1943. It is worn but I like medals that way.:)
The red plastic band is quite interesting. Under it is an old ribbon.

And most likely awarded by either the Western or North Western Front in JUN/JUL 43.

So this could be a medal awarded for the battle of Leningrad? One day I guess I will have to research this one.

No, the Leningrad Front would cover that area.

Do You mean front as in an army, not as geographical location? I'm not very familiar with these things I'm affraid. :o
Thank You for the help.

In English "front" has a general connotation while in Russian, a "Front" is the largest size operational formation consisting of subordinate "Armies".

English speakers describe the entire German-Soviet area of operations as "the Eastern Front." In Russian, that same area comprised many "fronts" including some, but not all inclusive, such as Karelian, Leningrad, Belorussian, Ukrainian, and Baltic.

Bravery

Who can determine: when Medal was made(or awarded).
Ser. number is 901010.
My father was awarded his(3422199) in Sep,1950.
So, what about number 901010 ?
Actually, I've ordered from dealer UNNUMBERED medal. But received this.

Thanks,
