Yeah, not Labor Vet medal for sure... But is it not Distinguished Labor? I'm not positive but I think it might be.

It's very nice to see a new collector here. Welcome to the show. Please show us what you got in another thread, or tell us wht you would like to collect.

1. Well, actually, now that I have given it a second thoght and because I am Bulgarian (which is similar to Russian), a rough, literal translation would be "For Labor Excellence" or "Distinguished Labor", even though the seller told me it was "Labor Veteran" and some of you are telling me its for "Valiant Labor", although, being new at collecting I guess you know more than I do in this field :chuckle

2. Will do :)

Valiant Labor booklet on the left, Veteran of Labor on the right. . . Don't have a scan for a Distinguished Labor booklet, do you happen to have one Eric?

I think I do, Bill. It'll have to wait until tomorrow though as I have a full plate in front of me today. Pun intended as I work in a commercial kitchen. :chuckle

Bill,

It would be the exact same booklet, only the entry inside would indicate which medal it is.

Turns out I didn't. I know, I know....shoddy collectmanship. ;)
But here's my Valiant Labor medal and book.
Note the book is a standard Udosteverenie K Medali booklet with a specific stamp inside for the medal.
According to Schmitt & McDaniel (pg. 232) there was also specific booklet, issued 1938 to 1944, with the cover embossed for the Valiant Labor medal by itself.

Re: "Veteran of Labor" booklet, real or fake?

Now, from Shishkov & Muzalevsky (vol. 2) here's two images of the Distinguished Labor medal booklet, one of which I think matches up with Hashspy's booklet.

What are these booklets

These booklets are identical except for the entry on the third page. Are they for the same medal? What medals are they for? I bought

This booklet was included with an OGIII/BM/OPW'85. All of the other awards(including one for VoG) are matched up, but I have no idea what this is for. The only reason I know that it is to be with this grouping is that the name matches.

Any help in identifying this award will be appreciated.
