strange holster on the photograph - TK pistol?

I have bought this picture lately, but when it arrived, I have noticed a strange holster on one of the generals' belt - far too small to be for the TT pistol and a bit too small to be for captured PPK.
Is it for TK pistol?

Hey, isn't that on a Polish officer's belt? Notice the 4 corner cap. Could this be part of "Ander's army"? Who would have armed them?

Well it is.
But it's not Andrs's army - they didn't wear rogatywka caps I think. I think they were equiped by the British mainly (at least they got british helmets and parts of uniforms while still in the SU)and by the soviets.
It's also Polish Army in the USSR, but the later one. I thik ths is the 2nd Army - since the general in the foreground is probably Poławski (army general HSU Poplavskiy if You prefer) who was it's commander at that time - but I am only judging from his size. I have only seen his pictures from the front
This photograph was taken in Poland, but still, they ussually had soviet weapons then. That's why my only guess was that it's TK.

The flap, mag pouch and latch make it look like a P-38 holster.

To me it seems far too small to be for p-38 or p-08

That could be a function of the man wearing it being rather well fed by the look of him. And the distance he is from the fore of the photo.

At any rate I wonder if any smaller pistol would be worn externally - a .25 or such more likely carried in a pocket?

Heck, with the size of that guy, it could be a sawed off shotgun:D Ok, maybe not.

But I did a search on Eb?y of pistol holsters and the the first photo shows a ****** holster which doesn't have the rounded flap. It rounded only on the trigger side but not on the grip side.

However, the second photo shows a "new Reproduction: of a WW II Soft Leather Belt Holster for a P38 Pistol(Walther or Mauser). It looks to be as close to what is in the photo. But it seems to be for a longer barrel pistol than what shows in the photo.

Last one is of a 7.65MM PISTOL HOLSTER "Genschow & Co. Berlin 1940".

Well, he's just wide, but not very tall - he seems to be a little smaller than the officer standing next to him. So I would agree for the sawed-off, but only put horizontally:)
He's far smaller than the general at the foreground

It's a strange thing - most of the polish generals were at best of reasonable size (not bigger than 180/95/100), while most of the soviet generals seem to have been 185/110/120 (judging from uniforms)... Maybe this guy was a Red Army general before delegation to the Polish Army?;)

Well, TT holsters looked also very similar, but were longer as well (about 20cm). PPK was smaller (15), but now, as I think of it, if he wasn't a partisan before (and probably not - only AL generals who joined the Army before the end of the war were I think Żymierski and Spychalski , and none of them fits here) he would probably not have any captured gun...
