Welcome to the Forum. What makes you think they are fakes? If there are any problems please post more detailed scans.

Alexei I am not sure that either are fake although the one with a rim the ring seems flattened alittle on the front side. my concern is which is more importatnt historically as that is the one which will go on display. I have determined that fortunately both collections are good with exception one Sevastopol is a fake according the thread on this forum a Warsaw and a Belgrade are variant 2 soon I hope to turn second set trade sell proceeds to go for a Alexander Nevskiy.

Ds photo,
In the Fakes section we only discuss fakes and suspicious items, so I have moved your posts here. I don't know what collections you are talking about, I guess I must have missed something. Historically and pricewise there is no difference between these two medals, they are just variations. Alexei |

This is a certificate for Budapesh Medal. Awarded on June 9, 1945 to comrade Saulkin.

He was in the 337th Rifle Division.
On second look, the guy that signed it was a General Major and Hero of the Soviet Union. Last edited by CtahhR; 03-12-2012 at 08:16 PM. |

I agree on the HSU.
As a side note, there are collectors that collect signatures of HSU's! Rusty.
