Table Medal "For Merit In Spreading Marxism-Leninism".

I didn´t know where to put this thread and I know that it is out of subject, but... I wanna share this with you.

My dad, while he was working at a plant at Kwdyszyn(?),near Gdansk, Poland, a colleague gave him this medallion. He said that his father was a political officer of the communist regime-or something like that-and was awarded this. Now, what´s this medallion? what does it say? I only read something "For Merit" and "Marxism-Leninism"

Roughly for service in supporting Marxism-Leninism in the Gdansk branch of the Polish Communist Party.

I would say this is from late 60's - 70's. This is not a state award, It's a honorary Award designed specialy for Voivodeship Commitee (KW) of CP in Gdańsk. Probably given to member of the KW or just a local party member. Unless I am mistaken, this types of awards were given to many members of the institution that submitted it and there were no diplomas for them. This one may be rare, but I have never heard of anyone collecting them (there were hundreds, if not thousands of such things and there seem to be no reference material on them).

btw. It actually says "for merit in spreading M-L".
