Wound Stripe Wonder - 11 Wounds

Gents,

Photo dates to the late '70s/early '80s. This 11 wound striper confirms they were wearing blue stripes as early as that point in time.

(1902 - 1967)


Hero of the Soviet Union

Born on 12 August 1902 in a small village in Lelkuj Chitinskaya the son of evenckého trappers. He was illiterate, never went to school and learn Russian before the age of 35 years, when he began working as a carpenter in a furniture workshop in the village Niznij Šilkinksé tent in the area.

In August 1941 he was drafted by the Red Army, and given the age and low education were relegated to the rear drive Northwest queue as a field kitchen operation.
