There seems to be much discussion about what they are made of. I have recently seen a 3rd class 3rd grade with a deep scratch on the back, as if somebody was testing it for metal. It would appear that it is made of gilded bronze.

Just to (1) reinvigorate an old thread, (2) reinvigorate the moribund Mongolia section, (3) remind us of long-absent forumites who were once active, and (4) provide more pretty things . . .
Order of the Vajra, 1st class, believed to be 3rd grade Mongolian-made, probably sewed onto the clothing. Missing central "jewel". |
