August Storm

Hi everyone,
Longtime member/lurker, first time poster here. I have a background in British Commonwealth medals and militaria, but have dabbled in Soviet stuff from time to time.

I am hoping some members may be able to recommend reading material (in English please, or possibly French!) regarding the Manchurian campaign of 1945. I am aware of ‘August Storm’ by Glantz; are there any other good reads on this topic out there? Or, for that matter, on Khalkin Gol?

Welcome Bill! Unfortunately I don't have my entire library at hand but Glantz's August Storm is about as good as any operational overview. This is a good video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAtV-40hg7E.

Hi Desantnik, thanks for the tip. It doesn’t seem like there’s much in English other than Glantz, but his book is very good so it fills the gap well.
