Yugoslav WW2 badge?
This looks very much like Yugoslavian badge (or rather - a star in offocer's badge), but is not the same, and the remains of a wire do not resamble the wire used there. Is it a WW2 badge? Or does it have nothing to do with Yugoslavie?
It is a groung dug, so the condition isn't perfect. It was described as soviet, and according to the seller was found near a smaall town somewhere in central-eastern Poland, which makes me think, that the only way it could find itself there, was by being brought by an owner, a former Yugoslav partisan (Tough I don't know if any of them settled down in that area). On the other hand - this does not look similar to the only other yugo WW2 cap badge I have seen (for prolet. brigade, on a colour photo, maybe I have seen the original in the museum in Warsaw, but I didn't notice), which looked more like a late soviet star... |
