As seen last week in Athens, the poster in the honour of the 85 years of Mikhail Kalashnikov, born in 1919.

The picyure used is a well known one. Just notice that except a Russian Federation State Prize, no other Russian awards are displayed.
Any reason or explanation for this ? There are more recent pictures (see this thread) with his Russian orders...
Why ? Is it nostalgia from him ?

Here is a pic recently spotted in the news. What an unusual combination of awards for this Hero of the Soviet Union! Probably one of the latest awarded as he does not wear any significant Soviet award except one or two (not clear) Red Stars.
An Afghanistan veteran, also wearing unofficial medals…
