View Poll Results: What do you think of an mini-award graphic for forum supporters?
$20 increments would be great. A new award for each time I donate. 8 47.06%
$50 increments would be better, I like a little privacy regarding what I choose to donate. 1 5.88%
I think one graphic only should be given no matter what the donation. 5 29.41%
I don't like it. I'd rather my donations not be recognized by a graphic. 3 17.65%

Here's Red Banner of Labor with text and without

Without text..I'd have all the awards available with and without the text.

Guys,

I think I'm going to scrap the idea of the service award (the Red Banner number shield). I played around with it and it didn't look good next to the mini-award. There isn't enough space to allow both together without it looking cramped and unattractive. Also, the graphic now is what I had planned as one of the badges, I'll offer it with and without the "forum supporter" text. If anyone has an idea, post them here otherwise I'll consider the design O.K. and make the rest of the awards.

Art,

Is that wreath with FS on center that you had before still an option? Still available?
I don't know, but so far, at least for me, it still looks the nicest graphic for this purpose!

Thanks,

Dolf

Dolf, it sure is! I'll set you up now. If anyone else wants the wreath, let me know as it is all set up and ready to go. Don't forget, I'll install a custom badge of your choice if you so desire...just email the graphic ( try to shrink it down to 45 pixels high first though, just to see if it will be visible at that small size )

Art,

If you get around to creating a Red Banner screwback Forum supporter image similar to the Red Banner of Labour one. That would be my choice.

Thanks

Mark

Art and all,

I have to say I feel a little bit confused...

In my mind, as Forum Supporters; either we all have an award related to our level of donation, that could be different; or we all have the same award, related to the fact that we have donated. The ones who did not donate simply have nothing.

I don't see the benefit (and let's just think to future new members visiting the web site and the Forum) of having for each of us our own "personal" system of awards...

I know we all are democrats, but...

Why not have two awards then, one for those who have donated "money" (like 20-200 USD) and one for those who have donated "much money" (>201 USD).

ORBL for the first group and Lenina for the second?

Why not ? No matter the awards themselves... I am afraid we could confuse somewhere the "Forum Supporter Awards" (whose rules have to be clearly and firmly set up by the Administators of the Forum, and Art first...)with our Avatar...

Guys,

I'll try and clear the smoke..only those who donate will have the option to have the mini-avatar. It's not available to non-donating members. If someone wants something special, I have no problem with that. The badge merely identifies the person as a donor, if they want to take part in the ladder of mini-awards we discussed, or if they want no award at all, that should be their choice, not mine. I want everyone to be happy
