Re: How to display Soviet awards

Here is my Red Star frame since I don't have enough Red Stars yet I've filled the "blanks" with OPW and other screw breast badges.

Well you are certainly off to an opulent start with a serious number of ORSs and GPWs (not to mention a very nice sort of frame we don't see very often).

Re: How to display Soviet awards

Had the frame since 1985 and it was empty until I decided I wanted to load it with Red Stars. I found a LARGE (something like 60cm by 90cm) frame the other day so I have space in grow. I'm currently getting a frame made which will be 150cm by 90cm to display some of my DPRK awards. I'll be photographing that as soon as it is completed and loaded but it will take some time as it is difficult to pin all the orders on straight and level. If I got everything I have framed I'd need some giant amount of wall space so I'll just be framing my favourite items for the time. I've been buying up picture frames from auctions for nearly twenty years so I have plenty to work with some look very grand others look very "rustic". I'm trying to make the frame compliment the contents. My next project will be my Vdovina group which I have just researched and it's only fitting to get it framed and stuck on the wall.
