Here is the Order "For Service in Soviet Army" - 3rd Class with the research (Chernobyl)

I found interesting information on Internet. This is additional information regarding Official Chernobyl Awards of Ukraine.

According to the decree of the President of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych, the President of Latvia Valdis Zatlers awarded the Order of Liberty for his contribution to overcoming the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster.
Viktor Yanukovych awarded state awards management of some foreign countries for a significant contribution to overcoming the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster and the implementation of international humanitarian programs.
Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise II degree received Prime Minister of Kuwait Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah Nasser, III degree - Director General of the IAEA in the years 1981-1997 (Sweden), Martin Hans Blix, the foreign ministers of Poland and the Republic of Cuba Radoslaw Tomasz Sikorski and Bruno Eduardo Rodriguez Parrilla.
The President also awarded the Order "For Services» II degree of Vice-President of the International Organization "Chernobyl Union" (Russia) Vyacheslav Grishin, president and chairman of the board of directors' Relief and Development Fund Children of Chernobyl "(USA) Zeno Matkowski.
In addition, a number of representatives of foreign countries were awarded the Order "For merits» III degree, "For courage» III degree and the Order of Princess Olga III degree.

Re the small Chernobyl badge, how easy is it to come across the document for these? I see the badge itself everywhere but no docs?

If anyone has a spare, let me know!

Although they were supposed to be around 500,000 awarded the documents can be very difficult to find. You can pick up the Badges by the dozen but the documents (blank or filled in) can be a struggle. I've not got one yet.

It's typical military/political training. Hard working, capable, responsible, increasing readiness and level of political education, and so on. It just mentions he was working in the rear at Chernobyl. Nothing close up and active.

I apologize, looking back at it, my opening question clearly gave the wrong impression for the intent of this thread. Allow me please to ask the real question: What do we know about official awards (decorations issued by the governments of the USSR, RF, Ukraine, or any other nation) for Chernobyl?

I think the 3 former Soviet nations that will be most likely candidates due to geographic location are The Russian Federation, Belarus and Ukraine. I also wouldn't be surprised if the PMR has awarded personnel - but it is unlikely such awards will jump at us.

It would also be interesting to see which time period is qualified as "clean up" as it is still a grave issue. Also if there are awards for "liquidating" and "advocacy of issues caused".
